3. Qualifications

(1) Age requirements

1. The marathon event must be over 20 years old (born before December 31, 2003);

2. The age limit for half marathon events is 16 years old or above (born before December 31, 2007);

3. There is no age limit for the mini-marathon, children under the age of 13(born after December 31, 2010) must register together with their parents (or at least one parent). Parents need to present a valid ID card to register;

4. Minors under the age of 18 need to ask their guardians or legal representatives to sign the 'Declaration of Participation' and submit it when collecting the race items.

5. Persons aged 70 and above must submit a 'Participation Statement' signed by themselves and their family members (including spouses, parents, adult children and other adult close relatives living together).

(2) Requirements for the physical condition of the participants

Marathon and related sports are a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sports, and also a high-risk competitive event, which has higher requirements for the physical condition of the participants, and the participants should be in good health, have the foundation of long-term participation in running exercise and complete the training or competition of more than half marathon distance.

Those with the following medical conditions are not recommended to participate in the competition:

1. Patients with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

2. Patients with hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;

3. Patients with myocarditis and other heart diseases;

4. Patients with coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;

5. Diabetic patients with high or low blood sugar;

6. Those who have suffered from a cold within two weeks before the race day;

7. Those who drink a lot of hard alcohol or lack of sleep the night before the race;

8. Pregnant women;

9. Those who suffer from infectious diseases and have not recovered;

10. Patients with other diseases that are not suitable for sports.

Participants should be the first responsible person for their own health and strengthen their self-health assessment. You should take a physical examination at a qualified medical institution, and evaluate whether you can participate in the competition based on the physical examination report. Pay close attention to your physical health before the race, and do not participate in the competition with illness.

(3) Runners who are banned by the Chinese Athletics Association and the Hengqin Marathon Organizing Committee will not be allowed to register for the race.

Fourth, the registration schedule

(1) Pre-registration and payment time

From 15:00 on November 16, 2023 to 15:00 on November 28, 2023, applicants can pre-register through the registration channel and pay the registration fee.

(2) Drawing of lots

The results of the ballot will be announced on 4 December 2023. At the same time, the standby codes for the winning athletes and the unsuccessful athletes will be announced. Registered athletes can log on to the official website of the event after the announcement of the lottery results.

(3) Waitlist and withdrawal from registration

1. Waitlist Mechanism:

If the athletes (groups) on the standby do not continue to participate in the waitlist, they can withdraw from the waitlist through official channels. The registration fee will be refunded in full within 7 working days according to the original payment route.

2. Exit Rules:

Athletes (groups) who have already obtained the quota can click the 'Withdraw Registration' button on the registration details page to apply for a refund by themselves, and the registration platform will refund the corresponding registration fee according to the original payment route within 7 working days after the refund application is submitted. 80% of the application fee will be refunded for withdrawals made before December 11, 2023, and withdrawal applications will not be accepted after December 11, 2023.

Athletes (groups) who are not successful in waiting for athletes (groups) after December 11, 2023 will refund all registration fees to the original payment route within seven working days.

3. Change of registration group and registration restrictions

The same athlete can only choose to register in one of the categories, and cannot apply for both. Before 15:00 on November 28, 2023, if you need to change the competition item, you must click the 'Delete Rereport' button on the registration details page, delete the original registration and re-register, and the contestants who have paid the registration fee must delete the registration after completing the refund application. Deletion of registration after 15:00 on November 28, 2023 will be regarded as giving up the lottery qualification, and requests for re-registration and group change will no longer be accepted.

(4) Measures for the registration and participation of para athletes

The registration method for disabled athletes in this competition shall be implemented with reference to the relevant provisions of the Notice on the Participation of Disabled Athletes in National Marathons and Related Sports Events on the official website of the Chinese Athletics Association:

1. Due to the conditions of the track, there is no racing wheelchair group in this competition, and racing wheelchair athletes are not allowed to participate in the competition.

2. Athletes with disabilities (including non-racing wheelchairs) must meet the age and health requirements of the participants in each event of the 2023 Hengqin Marathon when registering, pay the registration fee according to the registration requirements, and participate in the unified registration lottery after the number of registered participants exceeds the quota.

3. Before the start, athletes with visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disability and upper limb disability and able-bodied athletes should check in and assemble in the corresponding area. Non-racing wheelchair athletes and athletes with strollers must check in and assemble at the back of the last assembly area, and start in a unified manner during the race.

4. In order to ensure the safety of all participants, the visually impaired must be accompanied by a companion runner throughout the race, and other disabled athletes and non-racing wheelchair runners are also recommended to invite companion runners to participate in the race. Companion runners must be selected from the official athletes who have won the registration for this event, and can also apply to the organizing committee for assistance in recruiting escort runners.

VI. Registration Fee

7. Direct quota

Candidates who have passed through must meet the requirements of the competition regulations and registration instructions, and complete the registration and payment within the specified time.

(1) Loyal runners

Qualified for any group of Hengqin Marathon for four consecutive years and registered for any group of 2023 Hengqin Life Hengqin Marathon.

(2) Elite players

Those who participate in and complete the 2022 Hengqin Marathon with a net score of 3:30:00 (inclusive) for men's marathon and 4:40:00 (inclusive) for women's marathon. Runners who meet any of the above conditions can get a direct quota for the 2023 Hengqin Life Hengqin Marathon, which can only be used by themselves and cannot be transferred.

8. Receipt of race materials

The organizing committee will distribute the competition items to the contestants from December 28 to 30, 2023, and the time and place of collection will be selected by time-sharing appointment.

1. Athletes who are unable to participate in the competition for any reason can apply for the mailing service of the race items other than the number bib and chip through the official website of the event within 10 days after the competition.

2. Athletes' chips, number bibs, and event bracelets can only be collected by the athletes themselves, and the athletes must bring the original valid ID documents to collect, and the athletes will be checked with the documents on the spot, if they do not match, the organizing committee has the right to refuse to issue the items to them, and the athletes must arrive at the designated place to collect the items within the specified time on the morning of the competition day.

3. Athletes' clothing sizes will not be collected at the time of registration, and clothing sizes will be issued according to the distribution of the event and the order of application, on a first-come, first-served basis, to meet the needs of athletes as much as possible, and there is no guarantee that everyone can get the desired size.

4. If the athlete wants to change the size of the clothing due to personal reasons, the original packaging can be changed at the receiving site, and the original packaging cannot be replaced if the original packaging is opened.
