A letter from the Hengqin Marathon Organizing Committee to the public

Dear citizens,

The 2022 Hengqin Life Hengqin Marathon, hosted by the Executive Committee of the Guangdong-Macao Intensive Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, Zhuhai Huafa Group Co., Ltd. and Nanguang (Group) Co., Ltd., will be held on 2023 February 2.

As a high-specification and large-scale sports event, the successful holding of the 2022 Hengqin Life Hengqin Marathon will greatly enhance the influence of Hengqin. The competition has a long route, many participants, and high requirements for road traffic safety. In order to avoid inconvenience caused by traffic control during the race, we propose the following initiatives, and hope to obtain your understanding, support and cooperation:

1. Be a good host, make a contribution to the successful holding of the event, consciously obey traffic management, and fully reflect the good quality of the people of Hengqin. On the day of the marathon, the general public is requested to minimize driving, travel green, and take public transportation to create a good traffic environment for the event.

2. During the competition, all intersections along the race and surrounding roads will be closed, and traffic control will be implemented for diversion vehicles and pedestrians. The general public can pay full attention to and understand the traffic control situation, make travel plans in advance, and reasonably arrange and choose detour routes to avoid affecting travel.

3. Obey the command of public security police and event staff. Pay attention to your own safety, watch the game in a civilized manner, and jointly maintain the order of watching the game.

As a challenging sport, the marathon will surely show a passionate and energetic Hengqin to the world. Welcome citizens and friends to the track to cheer for the runners and feel the sports charm brought by the marathon in another way.
