Runners who have participated in the Hengqin Marathon for five consecutive years and finished (except for the Happy Run) can choose the marathon and half marathon events.

(2) Elite players

Athletes who sign up for marathon or half marathon events can be found on the 'China Marathon' website and have the best time in the marathon within 3 hours and 30 minutes (exclusive) for men and 4 hours (exclusive) for women in any event certified as 'A1 Category Event' by the Athletics Association and held between January 1, 2021 and September 30, 2024; or the best score of the half marathon event is within 1 hour and 30 minutes (exclusive) for men and 1 hour 50 minutes (exclusive) for women, and it will be directly connected to the 2024 Hengqin Marathon. There is no need to upload the result certificate when registering, and the organizing committee will check the historical results of the runners on the 'China Marathon' website according to the event for which the runners have registered after the pre-registration work.
