01 Registration time

(1) Pre-registration and payment time

From 15:00 on October 18, 2024 to 15:00 on November 8, 2024, applicants can pre-register through the registration channel and pay the registration fee.

(2) The time of the draw

The results of the draw will be announced in late November 2024. Applicants who do not win the lottery will be refunded the registration fee within 7 working days.

02 Qualifications

(1) Age requirements

1. The marathon event must be over 20 years old (born before December 31, 2004, inclusive).

2. The age limit for half marathon is 16 years old or above (born before December 31, 2008, including that day).

3. There is no age limit for the fun run, children under the age of 13 (born after December 31, 2011) must register together with their parents (or at least one parent).

4. Minors under the age of 18 must submit the 'Declaration of Participation and Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment' signed by the applicant, their guardian or legal representative. The guardian or legal representative must be at least 18 years old on the date of signing.

5. Participants aged 70 and above must submit a 'Declaration of Participation and Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment' signed by themselves and their family members (including spouses, parents, adult children and other adult close relatives living together).

(2) Requirements for the physical condition of the participants

Marathon and related sports are a high-load, high-intensity, long-distance competitive sports, and also a high-risk competitive event, which has higher requirements for the physical condition of the participants, and the participants should be in good health, have the foundation of long-term participation in running exercise and complete the training or competition of more than half marathon distance.

Those with the following medical conditions are not recommended to participate in the competition:

1. Patients with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease;

2. Patients with hypertension and cerebrovascular diseases;

3. Patients with myocarditis and other heart diseases;

4. Patients with coronary artery disease and severe arrhythmia;

5. Diabetic patients with high or low blood sugar;

6. Those who have suffered from a cold within two weeks before the race day;

7. Those who drink a lot of hard alcohol or lack of sleep the night before the race;

8. Pregnant women;

9. Those who suffer from infectious diseases and have not recovered;

10. Patients with other diseases that are not suitable for sports.

Participants should be the first person responsible for their own health and strengthen self-health assessment. You should have a physical examination at a medical institution above the second grade 1 within 12 months before the competition, and evaluate whether you can participate in the competition based on the physical examination report. Pay close attention to your physical health before the race, and do not participate in the competition with illness. When collecting the race items, please submit the 'Participation Declaration and Health and Safety Responsibility Commitment' signed by the participants according to the requirements of the organizing committee.

(3) Runners who are banned by the Chinese Athletics Association and the Hengqin Marathon Organizing Committee will not be allowed to register for the race.

(4) Measures for the registration and participation of para athletes

The registration method for disabled athletes in this competition shall be implemented with reference to the relevant provisions of the Notice on the Participation of Disabled Athletes in National Marathons and Related Sports Events on the official website of the Chinese Athletics Association:

1. Due to the conditions of the track, there is no racing wheelchair group in this competition, and racing wheelchair athletes are not allowed to participate in the competition.

2. Athletes with disabilities (including non-racing wheelchairs) must meet the age and health requirements of the participants in each event of the 2024 Hengqin Marathon when registering, pay the registration fee according to the registration requirements, and participate in the unified registration lottery after the number of registered participants exceeds the quota.

3. Before the start, athletes with visual impairment, hearing impairment, intellectual disability and upper limb disability and able-bodied athletes should check in and assemble in the corresponding area. Non-racing wheelchair athletes and athletes with strollers must check in and assemble at the back of the last assembly area, and start in a unified manner during the race.

4. In order to ensure the safety of all participants, the visually impaired must be accompanied by a companion runner throughout the race, and other disabled athletes and non-racing wheelchair athletes are also recommended to invite a companion runner to participate in the race. Companion runners must be selected from the official athletes who have won the registration for this event, and can also apply to the organizing committee for assistance in recruiting escort runners.

04 Mini Program registration process
